New School Year

  Wow another summer gone.. I am ready for school.  I am settled into my new classrooms.  I will be teaching in Irrigon this year instead of Heppner.  Kids start school this coming Tuesday.  But I think I am ready.  It felt strange getting ready to teach music again after teaching only business for the last five years.  I am glad to still have one business class though. 

Not musch else to say.  I will include a couple of pics of my granddaughter's 1st Birthday.  She is so cute.  I wish I could see her in person more often  :(

Back to school on Aug. 25 - New Position at different school(s)  .. Music and Business -- mostly music -- at three schools:  Irrigon High School (choir, intro to business and accounting), Irrigon Elementary (5th and 6th grade band and choir), A.C. Houghton Elementary (K-4 General Music and Mirimbas).  I will miss Heppner High. I was there for 5 years.. well 6 actually but 5 in a row..

I also have a hernia surgery coming up in a few days - not looking forward but it is a day surgery and I should not be out of commission long.. just can't lift anything over 10 pounds for a month.. I am not planning on letting it get in the way of any of my plans..

Please pray for my kids.. things going badly for them both.. mostly for son.  divorce.. etc.. and I am kind of out of the loop with communication at the moment.. long story.. not the way I want but gotta be tough and not allow disrespect.. so pray pray pray.. not for specifics but for God's will and healing.  My heart is breaking because I love my children so much..

Summer is here once more.  ... and ... busier than ever... it's off to camp (Meadowood Speech and Hearing Camp) again in July... grandbaby coming in July also... we finished up another Hunters Ed course with 24 students... I taught/facilitated professional development classes at InterMountain Educators Forum and have been working Fridays doing bookkeeping at the Meadowood Corporate Office in Pendleton. 

So... busy busy busy.. I look more forward each year to whenever I will be able to retire.. can't afford to yet.. but the notion of it gleams brighter in my mind with each passing year...
